All the Buildings in New York

Something fun for NYC & art lovers:

I've been following Australian artist James Gulliver Hancock's project "All the Buildings in New York" for awhile now.  The name sums it up pretty perfectly:  Hancock is working on drawing every building in NYC.  It's a lot of fun to look through the archive and see how he's drawn some of the buildings I know.  It's also kind of thrilling to see the every day buildings in your life - the ones you pass every day, the one you work in, the place where you get your coffee - singled out and featured in such a cool way.  Here are some of my favourite places, as he draws them:

The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, 1047 Amsterdam

The Beekman Regent

The Stephen A. Schwarzman Building of the New York Public Library

The Chrysler Building, 405 Lexington

I'll definitely be buying some of these prints for my new apartment!  How many of the buildings he's already drawn do you know well?
